I painted this for a friend's birthday and gave her the original. It is a new style that I am exploring, an opaque on top of a transparent background and I've gotten a lot of good feedback about it. It was inspired by Shano's art. I really lost track of time while painting this - I would think 5 minutes went by when a few hours actually had! I've always loved unicorns. I realized writing and illustration were my calling when I worked on a book when I was 9 about a unicorn who was also a pegasus and had trouble getting accepted since he was a hybrid. There are several layers of gloss and uv-resistant, non-yellowing glossy varnish over the finished piece.
